To illustrate the title concept of Michael Mitchell's book, I chose to overlay the texture of shattered glass over the profile of a man, whose face was cast mostly in shadow, tied in with a graph from the text. I wanted to give a sense of the struggle that people with mental illness often face, emphasizing the importance of behavioral sciences.
